April Showers

They say that April showers bring May flowers so lets not be too upset by the weather today.  Instead use this as an opportunity to give your rainy day attire a little kick in the pants (or dress, skirt, etc.).  It may be grey and rainy but there are ways to still have fun with what you are wearing.  Try adding a pop of color to your outfit.  This could be in the form of a pair of brightly colored wellies, a pretty lightweight scarf or even a fun umbrella.  If you don’t feel like adding a pop of color try adding something unexpected to your outfit instead.  A great example is in this picture from the Burberry show where the models wore belts with a bow instead of the normal belt that comes with the trench. It is something fun and unexpected without being overpowering.  Whatever you decide to do have some fun with it, just don’t wear your favorite pair of suede shoes when you go puddle jumping because those results are never fun.  Happy April!
